530 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [April 17 MEETINGS OF BOARD COMMITTEES President H u g h e s announced there would be no meetings of the Board Committees this month. DESIGNATION OF ALTERNATE MEMBER O F ILLINOIS BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION President Hughes indicated that for several years M r . Swain has served effectively as the University's alternate member of the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Because M r . Swain has asked to be relieved of that responsibility, M r . H u g h e s stated that he has asked M r s . Rader to serve in that capacity. H e also stated that it was his intention to be less active in the affairs of the State Board and that M r s .
