dividend. It is estimated that continuing the policy the fourth year in the above manner will save approximately $250 in the cost of this insurance for the fourth year. T h e Purchasing Agent, the Director of the Physical Plant Department, and the Comptroller recommend acceptance of the Lumbermen's Mutual Casualty Company's offer to extend this insurance for the fourth year ending July 31,1947, and that an order be placed with them at an estimated net of $2,300, chargeable to the Physical Plant Operation and Maintenance appropriation. I concur and recommend approval.

On motion of Mr. Davis, this offer was accepted as recommended. The Board considered the following matters in executive session.

POST-WAR UNIVERSITY BUILDING PROGRAM (16) The University Building Committee has been working on a post-war University building program for several months. A preliminary report of its work was made by the Chairman to the Board of Trustees on April 8, 1044. Subsequently, pursuant to authorization of the Board of Trustees, the Committee had two formal conferences with representatives of the Illinois State Post-War Planning Commission—one at Urbana and one in Chicago—as well as informal consultations. As reported to the Board of Trustees on June 1, a formal request presenting the University's building and other capital improvement needs should be submitted to the Commission on or before July 1, 1944. The parties interested in promoting this project desire to present the proposal directly to the Board of Trustees at some meeting in the near future.
