LEAVES OF ABSENCE (4) A recommendation that the following leaves of absence be granted members of the staff for the reasons and periods and under the conditions indicated in each case: M R S . A N N LUCILLE LAIRD, Director of Nursing, leave without pay, April 3 to September 30, 1042, inclusive. This is in addition to sick leave with pay and vacation allowance to which she is entitled previous to April 3. WILLIAM PFLUGMACHER, employee in the Physical Plant Department, disability leave, with pay, from July 14 through September 8, 1942. ROBERT B. SERVICES OF GRADUATE SCHOLARS AND FELLOWS AS TEACHING ASSISTANTS (5) T h e Executive Faculty of the Graduate School recommends that: " W h e n requested and recommended by the major department, and approved by the Dean of the Graduate School, the holder of a scholarship (with a stipend) or a fellowship, if willing, may be allowed to teach as a graduate assistant, not exceeding one-quarter time; there will be no extra payment for such service."
