Laundry Service and Protective Clothing Rental Service On May 16, 1959, the Board of Trustees authorized, as purchase recommendations, contracts with Midstate Linen Supply, Inc., Urbana, Illinois, the lowest bidder for laundry service for departments at Urbana for the period July 1, 1959, through June 30, 1961, $92,442.96, and for protective clothing rental service (coats, aprons, and other garments) for the Mini Union, Residence Halls, and Home Economics Cafeteria, for the period July I, 19S9, through June 30, 1961, $35,140.00. Midstate Linen Supply, Inc., a corporation, is being dissolved and has sold its rental business and name to F . W. Means and Company, Chicago, which will conduct a rental business known as Midstate Linen Supply. The laundry portion of the business has been sold to H . Paul Lincicome, a one-third owner of the present corporation, who will do business as Paul's Laundry Company. Midstate Linen Supply, Inc., has assigned, with no changes in terms or conditions, the laundry contract to Paul's Laundry Company and the rental contract to F. W . Means and Company. The latter also owns the Champaign Clean Towel Service, a firm presently providing the University satisfactory rental service on certain other items. Mr. Lincicome has served as President and Manager of Midstate Linen Supply, Inc., for a number of years. T h e University's business dealings with both the Champaign Clean Towel Service, and with H. Paul Lincicome as an individual, have been very satisfactory. It is recommended that the University accept these assignments and that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute consents thereto. O n m o t i o n of M r .
