FULLER, HARRY J., Professor of Botany-—leave of absence, without pay, beginning March 1, 1959, and continuing until further notice, on account of disability. HAMILTON, NORMAN T., Assistant Professor of Mathematics — extension of leave of absence, without pay, for the academic year 1959-60, in order that he may continue his research work in algebraic geometry, at Johns Hopkins University. KLUTE, ARNOLD, Associate Professor of Soil Physics (Agronomy), in the College of Agriculture and in the Agricultural Experiment Station — leave of absence, without pay, for six months beginning September 1, 1959. Johnston, the B o a r d voted to hold its July meeting on July 2 1 , 1959. On motion of M r . Swain, the B o a r d voted to hold this meeting in Urbana, at an hour a n d place to be determined by the P r e s i d e n t a n d the Secretary of the Board. A D D R E S S BY P R O F E S S O R G E O R G E C. McVITTIE President H e n r y introduced P r o f e s s o r George C. McVittie, H e a d of the D e p a r t m e n t of A s t r o n o m y , who addressed the B o a r d on the subject of the radio telescope which is being developed by his D e p a r t m e n t , illustrating his presentation with a model of the project. FOOD SERVICE AWARD President H e n r y and M r . V e r n o n L. K r e t s c h m e r , Director of Housing, reported on an a w a r d received by the U n i v e r s i t y from Institutions Magazine, in its 1959 a n n u a l food service contest, for the design a n d installations of the food service equipment in the Gregory D r i v e Residence H a l l s . A m e m o r a n d u m giving the details of this a w a r d has been filed with the S e c r e t a r y for record. On motion of M r . Swain, the Board adjourned.
