ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE MEDICAL RESEARCH LABORATORY

(11) T h e construction of the Medical Research Laboratory building has progressed to the point where it is now necessary to make arrangements with the Commonwealth Edison Company for the supplying of electrical service to the building. T h e University should take advantage of the lower rates available under the "multiple service and combined billing" arrangement previously approved by the Board of Trustees for the Chicago Professional Colleges campus (Minutes, July 25, 1950, page 25). Certain items of underground and vault equipment required to furnish service under this arrangement must be supplied by the Commonwealth Edison Company at a cost to the University of $7,609. This cost will be amortized at the lower rate in approximately three years.
