APPLICATION TO T H E FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION (13) In the operation of the Radio Astronomy Telescope, it is necessary to petition the Federal Communications Commission to amend or modify its rules and regulations to provide interference protection by restricting assignments of U H F television stations or any other type or class of station operating in the band of 608 to 614 megacycles. It is desirable to retain a law firm in Washington, D.C., for the purpose of filing the petition and to follow through in the event adverse comments are received by the Commission and hearings are held.
