INSTITUTE OF LABOR AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE (16) The Director of the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations recommends the following appointments to the Institute's Advisory Committee for a term of three years beginning as of September 1, 1959, to fill vacancies. Management RAY C. DICKERSON, President, Felmley-Dickerson Company, Urbana, Illinois Labor relations in the construction industry are old and well established. However, recent legislation will require modifications in established practices. The Institute will be called upon to do more work in this field, and a representative of the construction industry should be on the Advisory Committee. Mr. Dickerson is experienced in the industry in general and in the labor relations of that industry. L. W . HESSE, Director of Industrial Relations, Keystone Steel and Wire Company, Peoria, Illinois Mr. Hesse has had broad experience in management functions. He is now in charge of all industrial relations functions in his Company. He would bring experience in breadth and depth to the Committee. Labor THOMAS W, BURKE, International Vice-President, Building Service Employees International Union, Chicago, Illinois Mr. Burke is an international officer of the Building Service Employees International Union. His office is in Chicago. H e knows well and supports the extension work of the Institute. HARRY T. VIREN, Sub-District Director of District 32, United Steelworkers of America, 1228 West Fifth Street, Sterling, Illinois Mr. Viren is Sub-District Director of District 32, United Steelworkers of America. The Institute carries on many classes and conferences with the Steelworkers union. Mr. Viren knows this work well and is interested in it.
