Now, Therefore, upon consideration of said Grant Offer and all of the terms, provisions, conditions, and exhibits therein and thereto, Be It, and It Is Hereby Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, as follows: i. T h a t T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois accept, and it does hereby accept the Grant Offer extended to it by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency, for and in behalf of the United States, in the words, figures, and form as hereinabove set forth, and that it shall enter into a Grant Agreement with the United States by causing the Acceptance thereof, in the words, figures and form as hereinabove set forth, to be duly executed in its name and for and in its behalf. 2. That to accomplish the foregoing, H . O. Farber, Comptroller, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and in behalf of T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, the said Acceptance of the said Grant Offer, and that A. J. Janata, Secretary, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to attest said execution and to impress thereon the Official Seal of T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. 3. T h a t the Project Application, dated September 1, 1959, executed and submitted to the Federal Aviation Agency by T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, relating to F A A Project No. 9-11-026-6003, including all the statements, representations, warranties, covenants, and agreements contained therein, be and the same are hereby ratified and adopted. 4. That the Agency and Participation Agreement attached thereto and by reference made a part thereof, entered into on the 1st day of September, 1959, by T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and the State of Illinois, Department of Aeronautics, be and the same is hereby confirmed and ratified.

On motion of Mr. Swain, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Harewood, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Swain, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Wilkins, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, Mr. Clement, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Stratton.

SPECIAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR N O N R E C U R R I N G EXPENDITURES (10) The Committee on Nonrecurring Appropriations has reviewed a long list of requests and recommends assignments of funds from the General Reserve for the following items which the Committee has judged are most urgent: 1. Department of Home Economics, construction of demonstration kitchen for wheelchair and other handicapped persons $ 3 300 00 2. Department of Agricultural Engineering, rewiring and additional electrical capacity for Agricultural Engineering Building 6 000 00 3. Department of Animal Science, pick-up truck for Sheep Division.. 2 500 00 4. Department of Business Education, typewriter replacement 3 852 50 5. Department of Electrical Engineering, purchase of equipment for instruction 26 700 00 6. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, renovation of apartment building at 1207 West Oregon Street, Urbana, for staff offices and laboratories 25 000 00 7. Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, remodeling in Noyes Laboratory 00 000 00 8. Remodeling in Lincoln Hall to provide additional offices and laboratory rooms 31 700 00 9. College of Fine and Applied Arts, equipment for Krannert Art Museum and moving into new facilities 22 500 00 10. Library, renovation of lighting in Undergraduate Library at Urbana 11 000 00 11. Department of Physiology, moving into Burrill Hall 26 000 00 12. Department of Microbiology, moving into Burrill Hall 6 000 00 13. Physical Plant Department, lowering approximately 2,000 lineal feet of water main on St. Mary's Road east of the water tank sufficiently to protect line from freezing and traffic damage 8 000 00 14.
