MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS June 28, 1940 The June meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. (Central Daylight Saving Time) on Friday, June 28, 1940. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Pogue, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Wieland. Mr. Kenney E. Williamson, appointed June 21, 1940, to the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. Louis C. Moschel, was present for the first time. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, and, during part of the day, Dr. R. B. Allen, Executive Dean of the Chicago Colleges, Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, University Counsel, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Director C. S. Havens of the Physical Plant Department; and Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of April 25 and May 28, 1940, and, for record, minutes of meetings of the Executive Committee of April 25, May 20, May 28, and June 7, 1940. On motion of Mr. Jensen, the minutes were approved and received for record as printed on pages 795 to 968 above. 969
