Economics closes for their organization. This year they will contribute approximately $1,200, which will cover the clerical expense in the preparation of reports to be returned to the cooperators. T h e Dean of the College of Agriculture recommends authorization of a fee of $6 per farm record for this service and the appropriation of this income, estimated at $1,200, for the current fiscal year, to the Department of Agricultural Economics to cover the expenses of this project. I concur and recommend the establishment of a revolving fund for farm accounting in the Department of Agricultural Economics, the balance to be carried forward from year to year, provided that if and when this work becomes standardized in such a way that it can be incorporated in the departmental budget the special fund will be discontinued and the operations included in the regular budget of the Department. T h i s fee w a s authorized, t h e revolving fund w a s established, a n d the appropriation m a d e as recommended, by the following vote: A y e , Mr. Jensen, M r . K a r r a k e r , M r . Mayer, M r . Moschel, M r s . Plumb, M r . Pogue, M r . W i e l a n d ; no, n o n e ; absent, M r . A d a m s , M r . Cleary, M r . Horner, Dr. Meyer. T h e Board of Trustees appropriated $130,000 for salaries and other expenses for the Summer Session of 1939. T h e salaries budget submitted herewith totals $121,269.15.

On motion of Mr. Wieland, appointments were made and authority was granted to the President of the University as requested.
