MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS February 1 1 , 1 9 3 9 The February meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, February n , 1939. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Mayer, Mr. Karraker, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue; Mr. Cleary took his place with the Board a little later. Mr. F. A. Jensen, member-elect, was present on invitation and sat with the Board during the day. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. C. S. Havens, Director of the Physical Plant Department, and Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, University Counsel, and the Secretary. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of January 14, r 939- C*n motion of Mr. Karraker, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 181 to 210 above. 211
