MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS January 1 4 , 1 9 3 9 The January meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 1939. The following members were present: President Mayer, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Karraker, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Wieland. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. C. S. Havens, Director of the Physical Plant Department, the Secretary, and, during part of the day, Judge Sveinbjorn Johnson, University Counsel. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of November 29 and December 17, 1938; also, for record, the minutes of a meeting of the Executive Committee held December 8, 1938. On motion of Mr. Moschel, the minutes were approved and received for record as printed on pages 133 to 180 above. 181
