Eleven of the seventeen members of the Union Board have indicated their approval of this memorandum, so that it appears certain that the Board on the first occasion when a meeting can be held will confirm this proposal if it is accepted by the University. The special committee recommends approval of the stipulations in Section I of the memorandum and an appropriation of $10,000 or so much thereof as is necessary to make the cash settlement with the Union, and instructions to the proper officers to draw up all necessary papers to carry out this action, to be presented for ratification of both bodies at a later date. A supplementary appropriation of $7,900 is also necessary to provide for repairs and remodeling in the immediate future. O n m o t i o n of D r .
