Funds have been included in the appropriation bill of the General Assembly to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the University for FY 1983 and will be included in the County Extension Trust fund operating budget authorization request for FY 1983 to be submitted to the Board of Trustees. Award of the lease agreements is subject to the availability of these funds.

On motion of Mr. Bettenhausen, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, Dr. Donoghue, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Howard, Mr. Madden, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Stone; no, none; absent, Governor Thompson. (The student advisory vote was: Aye, Mr. Bandala, Mr. Bettenhausen, Mr. Persons; no, none.)

Purchases

(29) T h e president submitted, with his concurrence, a list of purchases recommended by the directors of purchases and the executive vice president. T h e list of purchases was presented in two categories: purchases from appropriated funds (i.e., from state appropriations to the University) and purchases from institutional funds. T h e latter term designates funds received by the University under contracts with the United States government, private corporations, and other organizations; grants from foundations, corporations, and other donors; and University revolving funds authorized by law. The unit cost reflects the use of exclusive and nonexclusive space where appropriate. Buildings constructed/remodeled exclusively for Cooperative Extension Service use.
