SECRETARY'S REPORT The secretary presented for record appointments to the faculty and changes of status made by the president, resignations, terminations, leaves of absence, and retirements. A copy of the report is filed with the secretary. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD President Howard called attention to the schedule of meetings for the next three months: February 4, Chicago; March 10, Urbana-Champaign (Retreat, March 9, Allerton Park); April 14, Chicago. JOINT MEETING, ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION WITH ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION Miss Smith, who is the alternate representative of the Board of Trustees to the Board of Higher Education, announced that a joint meeting of that board and the State Board of Education would be held on February 2.
