SCKOELL, associate director for federal relations, beginning August 3, 1987 ( N Y ) , at a salary of $57,000. JOHN PAUL WARD, assistant director of business affairs for grants and contracts, Chicago, beginning April 20, 1987 ( N Y ) , at an annual salary of $51,000.

On motion of Miss Smith, these appointments were confirmed. interim Vice Chancellor for Health Services

(11) The chancellor at Chicago has recommended the appointment of Dr. Phillip M. Forman as interim vice chancellor for health services, effective July 1, 1987, on a twelve-month service basis. Dr. Forman presently serves as dean of the College of Medicine. He will continue to hold that position, as well as the ranks of professor of clinical neurology, professor of clinical pediatrics, and professor of health professions education. Dr. Forman succeeds Dr. Alexander M. Schmidt who has resigned from the vice chancellorship in order to devote full time to research and writing. The vice president for academic affairs concurs. I recommend approval. O n m o t i o n of M i s s S m i t h , this a p p o i n t m e n t w a s approved.

Appointments to the Institute for the Humanities, Chicago

(12) The chancellor at Chicago, on recommendation of the director of the Institute for the Humanities and with the concurrence of the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has recommended the appointment of senior fellows in the Institute for the Humanities for the academic year 1987-88 and for the area of research as indicated.
