On motion of Mrs. Gravenhorst, the recommendations were approved as presented with the following understandings: 1. In the instance of the adjustments recommended in the student service fee and general fee at Chicago, the trustees approved the recommendations, with the understanding that this aspect of the recommendations will receive further review and be amended at a subsequent meeting if that appears to be necessary; and 2. With regard to the establishment of a student HMO at the Chicago campus: the board approved the recommendation with the understanding that the establishment of the HMO will be deferred, that a full analysis and review will be prepared for the board, and that final action on the HMO and complementary benefits will be discussed at the next meeting of the board.

Rates for University-Operated Housing Facilities, Chicago and Urbana

(10) The chancellors at each campus have recommended rate changes for University-operated housing for the 1987-88 academic year. The increases are required to meet operational costs (salaries and wages, utilities, and general price increases, including food) and to provide for debt service and repair and replacement reserve requirements.
