(19) A recommendation that Miss Josie B. Houchens, Binding Librarian, be given a month's leave of absence without pay during the summer of 1932 to enable her to teach in the Columbia University Library School during its Summer Session. O n motion of M r . Williams, this leave w a s granted. A t this point, M r . Trees took his place with the Board.

O n motion of Mr. Armstrong, the contract for the general work was awarded to J. H. Hunzinger & Co., the lowest bidders, on the basis of their bid of $6,025. O n motion of M r . Barrett, the contract for plumbing and heating was awarded to Johnson Brothers, the lowest bidders, on the basis of their bid of $732.15. O n motion of M r . Trees, $7,500, or so much thereof as m a y be necessary, was appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund for the construction of this garage, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Barrett, Mrs. Grigsby, Mrs. Hopkins, Dr. Noble, Mr. Trees, M r . Williams; no, none; absent, M r . Barr, M r . Blair, Mr. Emmerson, Mrs. Evans.
