193*1 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 447 of which tracts Pennsylvania Avenue is a part, and that an appropriation of $500, or so much thereof as m a y be necessary, be made for this purpose. O n motion of Dr. Noble, this recommendation was adopted and the appropriation was made by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, Mr. Barr, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Grigsby, Dr. Noble, Mr. Trees; no, none; absent, Mr. Barrett, Mr. Emmerson, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Hopkins, Mr. Williams. COMMITTEE ON AUUMNI FOUNDATION Mr. Armstrong, for the Committee on Alumni Foundation, made a report of progress. President Barr directed that this matter be made a special order of business, following presentation of matters by the President of the University, for the October meeting. OCTOBER MEETING The October meeting was set for Friday morning, October 30, 1931, at ten o'clock at the Blackstone Hotel, Chicago.
