APPROPRIATION FOR LEGAL COUNSEL

APPROPRIATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL H U S B A N D R Y

(5) A request from the Dean of the College of Agriculture that the balance of $1,212.52 in the unappropriated excess receipts of the Department of Animal Husbandry be appropriated to that Department to offset an equal amount charged against the Live Cattle Station account in connection with the new feed storage plant. APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE OF BOOKKEEPING MACHINES

(7) Requests: 1. From the Comptroller for a special appropriation of $2400, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the purchase of bookkeeping machines in the Urbana departments; the present machines have been in use about eight years and are beginning to require constant repair and when they are in this condition there is always danger of inaccurate operation; and 2. From the Dean of the College of Medicine, approved by the Supervising Architect and the Comptroller, for the purchase of a bookkeeping machine (Electric Automatic Adding-Typewriter Bookkeeping Machine) for use in the Business Office of the Chicago departments at a net cost of $1150.69, f.o.b. installed, from the National Cash Register Company. The cost of this equipment can be charged to the appropriation for the Medical and Dental Laboratories Building. I recommend the appropriation of $2400, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for the purchase of bookkeeping machines for
