THE SUMMER SESSION STAFF FOR 1931 (18) Recommendations from the Director of the S u m m e r Session for appointments to the S u m m e r Session Staff for 1931, the position and salary proposed being indicated in each case. I recommend approval of these appointments and request authority to make such adjustments and additional appointments as m a y be necessary. The appropriation for the 1931 S u m m e r Session is $84,000. The recommendations submitted herewith total $83,761.62 for salaries. Expenses, other than salaries, usually amount to about $3500, which would make a total of approximately $87,300, not allowing for necessary adjustments in salaries at a later time. Some leeway in this matter will be necessary in order to provide for increases in enrollment and other adjustments. I recommend, therefore, that a supplementary appropriation of $4000, or so much thereof as m a y be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for S u m m e r Session salaries and other expenses.
