COLLEGE OF SCIENCE

of the group is the study of the character and development of the individual and of society, of the relations of man to external nature, of the influence of natural selection on social development, and, finally, of the possible effect of artificial selection on that development, through both subjective and objective influences. Under this caption the subjects of psychology, pedagogy, economics, public law and administration, and philosophy are offered in the College of Science as electives to all chemical and natural science students, and to all students who desire to specialize in the philosophical subjects, with studies in the physical and natural sciences as a preparation for them. All the studies of this group are junior and senior subjects. CLASSIFICATION OF SUBJECTS

The same as in either the natural science or the chemical and physical group, pp. 103, 119.

List A (Major Courses) Economics 1 or 2 to 8, n to 19; 2 to 44 hours (p. 171). Pedagogy 1 to 8; 3 to 20 hours. Philosophy 1 to 8; 3 to 24 hours. Psychology 1 to 5; 3 to 24 hours. Public Law and Administration 1 to 9; 6 to 31 hours. List B (Minor Courses) Economics 1; 5 hours. Philosophy 2; 3 hours. Psychology 1; 5 hours. Public Law and Administration 1; 6 hours.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

In this group, as in the natural science group, a student may pursue either a specialized or a general course (p. 121). To graduate from the College of Science in the studies of this group, in a general course, the student must either complete the subjects of the prescribed list in the chemical
