DEGREES 251 Master of Science, after Bachelor of Science in courses of the colleges of Agriculture and Science. Master of Architecture, after Bachelor of Science in courses in Architecture and Architectural Engineering. Master of Laws, after Bachelor of Laws, in the School of Law. Master of Library Science, after Bachelor of Library Science. Civil Engineer, after Bachelor of Science in the course in Civil Engineering. Electrical Engineer, after Bachelor of Science in the course in Electrical Engineering. Mechanical Engineer, after Bachelor of Science in the course in Mechanical Engineering. Pharmaceutical Chemist, after Graduate in Pharmacy. Graduates of other colleges and universities which have equivalent requirements for baccalaureate degrees may be given second degrees determined in kind by comparison with the usage described above. All candidates for second degrees are required to register in the Graduate School; to conform to the conditions outlined under "Admission," "Registration," and "Examinations" (pp. 146 and 147); to pursue an approved course of study for one academic year in residence, or, in the case of graduates of this University, for three years in absentia; and to pass satisfactory examinations upon all the studies of the approved course. Each candidate for a second degree must present an acceptable thesis in the line of his major subject of study. The subject of this thesis must be announced to the Dean of the General Faculty not later than the first Monday in November of the academic year in which the course is to be completed. The completed thesis, upon regulation paper, must be presented, with the certified approval of the professor in charge, to the Council of Administration not later than June 1st. The period of required study begins from the date of registration in the Graduate School.
