The College of Agriculture aims to give a liberal and practical edu cation, based largely on the natural and physical sciences, but supplementing these with technical or professional studies in which the application of science to the best modern practice of agriculture is carefully considered. The purpose is to prepare its students to be intelligent and successful farmers or horticulturists; teachers of agriculture in schools or colleges, or through the agricultural press, or to be investigators in the agricultural experiment stations of the country.
