8th. Gas Analysis room, entirely cut off from the system of heating and ventilating to avoid undue fluctuations of temperature. It is furnished with a table specially constructed, and contains a full set of Bunsen's Gasometric Apparatus, a coil, battery-, mercury, etc. On the mansard floor ample provision has been made for the study of Photography.

SCHOOL OF NATURAL HISTORY. The aim of this School is to give a liberal scientific education. It acquaints the student with the latest researches in respect to the structure of the earth and to the origin and distribution of its organic products; teaches him to collect and preserve specimens and arrange them for study, and to conduct original investigations.
