APPOINTMENTS M A D E BY T H E PRESIDENT T h e Secretary presented also for record a list of appointments m a d e by the President of the University. Ambuhl, Frances I., to give instruction in Library Science in the Summer Session of 1928, beginning June 15 and ending August 11, at a compensation of three hundred thirty-three dollars thirty-three cents ($33333) for the session. (June 16, 1928)l Breathwit, Rachel, to give instruction in Romance Languages, on onehalf time, in the Summer Session of 1928, beginning June 18 and ending August 11, at a compensation of one hundred forty-one dollars sixty-six cents ($141.66) for the session. (June 25, 1928) Burks, Dana, Special Research Assistant in Chemical Engineering, in the Engineering Experiment Station, in the College of Engineering, beginning July 1, 1928, and continuing until further notice, at a cash compensation of three thousand six hundred dollars ($3600) a year. (June 16, 1928) Ewald, Ida A. (Mrs.), Director of Social Activities in the West Residence Hall, for two months beginning June 15, 1928, at a cash compensation of one hundred thirty dollars ($130), with maintainence, including living quarters, board, and personal laundry, while on duty. (June 11, 1928) Holmes, M. C, Special Research Assistant in Electrical Engineering, in the Engineering Experiment Station, in the College of Engineering, beginning July 7, 1928, and continuing until further notice, at a cash compensation of two thousand four hundred dollars ($2400) a year. (June 16,1928) Lynch, Dorothy E., Assistant in Junior Club W o r k in the Department of H o m e Economics, in the College of Agriculture, for two months beginning July 1, 1928, at a cash compensation of two hundred fifty dollars ($250). (June 27, 1928) McBride, Elizabeth, Stenographer in the Department of Economics, for two months beginning July 1, 1928, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, at a cash compensation at the rate of ninety dollars ($90) a month (this superseding her previous appointment). C , Assistant in Animal Husbandry, in the College of Agriculture, and in the Agricultural Experiment Station, on one-half time, for two months beginning July 1, 1928, at a cash compensation at the rate of ninety-one dollars sixty-six cents ($91.66) a month (this superseding his previous appointment). A., Associate in Farm Mechanics, in the College of Agriculture, beginning July 15, 1928, and continuing until September 1, 1929, at a cash compensation at the rate of two hundred thirty-three dollars thirtythree and one-third cents ($233.33^) a month. F., Special Research Assistant in Mechanical Engineering, in the Engineering Experiment Station, in the College of Engineering, beginning July I, 1928, and continuing until further notice, at a cash compensation of two thousandfivehundred dollars ($2500) a year.
