RESOLUTION CONCERNING ENDORSEMENT OF ILLINOIS POWER A N D LIGHT S T O C K CERTIFICATES (9) In order that the cumulative 7 per cent preferred stock of the Illinois Power and Light Corporation may be redeemed as of July I, 1928, in accordance with the action of the Board at the meeting on M a y 23, I recommend that the following resolution, prepared by the Comptroller and approved by the Legal Counsel, authorizing the Treasurer to endorse the certificates of this stock, be adopted: RESOLUTION W H E R E A S , the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois did on M a y 23, 1928, vote to present for redemption on July 2, 1928, 1,000 shares 7 % Cumulative Preferred Stock of the Illinois Power and Light Corporation, which stock has been called for redemption as of that date by that corporation; N O W , T H E R E F O R E , A. M . Burke, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, is hereby authorized to endorse stock certificates covering the above named stock and described as follows: No. C O 46; for and on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, and full faith and credit shall be given to such endorsement so made by said A.
