Business Cases 4-6-28 $1 300 00 Dairy ChampaignSReo TReo ETruck Competitive LEGI LA IV MATTERS Sales reported (37) T h e President of the University Company that he had had two bills introduced in the Legislature n o w in special session—one to transfer the control and management of the Research and Educational Hospital to the Board of Trustees of the University, and the other to amend the revenue act to make clear the intention of the Legislature to exempt property given in trust for school purposes to the University, the latter being made necessary by the decision of the Supreme Court on the taxation of the CarterPennell Farms. A suggestion to consult the Governor and to ask him to transfer the Hospital had received informal approval of a majority of the individual members of the Board at the time of the regular session of the Legislature in 1927. The President stated that the Governor suggested that this transfer might be made during the special session and that both bills had been submitted to theby Mr. Jf. A. Morrow. •Arranged Legislative Reference Bureau for scrutiny. This report was received for record.
