RESOLUTION ON ARMORY PAVING ASSESSMENT (17) Pursuant to the action of the Board of Trustees of September 27 (page 438), the Supervising Architect submits the following certificate concerning additional drainage facilities to be provided by the City of Champaign at the request of the University in connection with the paving of Armory Avenue. November 12, 1927 President David Kinley, 355 Administration (West) Dear President Kinley : I hereby certify that the larger tile has been put in on Locust Street by Kent & Company in accordance with the understanding with the Board of Local Improvements of the City of Champaign, and that it has been done in conformity with the requirements of the University. The plans and specifications were furnished by the City of Champaign and all work was done under the direct supervision of the Board of Local Improvements of that city. Yours truly,

Supervising Architect Inasmuch as the requirements of the University have been met in the matter, I recommend the adoption of the following resolution concerning the acceptance of assessments on Armory Avenue: W H E R E A S it has been made to appear to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that the City of Champaign has complied with the terms with which the Board, in its resolutions concerning the vacation of certain streets and the paving of Armory Avenue, adopted at the July, 1927, meeting, and appearing at pages 402-405 of the printed minutes, as modified
