King, Ameda R., To give instruction in History in the Summer Session of 19*7, on one-half time, beginning June 20 and ending August 13, at a compensation of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125)forthe session. (June 28, 1927) Lyon, Stuart W., Special Research Assistant in Engineering' Materials in the Engineering Experiment Station, beginning July 1, 1927, and continuing until further notice, at a cash compensation of two thousand four hundred dollars ($2400) a year. (June 18, 1927) .... Van Duyn, Harriet (Mrs.), Director of Social Activities in the West Residence Hall, beginning June 18, 1927 and continuing until August 13, 1927, at a compensation of one hundred thirty dollars (£130) for the session. (June 30, 1927) T h e B o a r d adjourned, at 11 p. m., to meet at 11 a. m . o n Friday, July 15, 1927. SESSION O F J U L Y 15, 1927 W h e n the Board convened at the University, in Urbana, at 11 o'clock a. m. on Friday, July 15, 1927, pursuant to adjournment, the same members were present as on the preceding day. President Kinley was present; also Professor J. M . White, Supervising Architect. MATTER PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Board considered the following matter presented by the President of the University. SALE OF CARTER PROPERTY (1) A recommendation that the Comptroller be authorized to accept an offer of $6500 for the Carter property in Normal (see page 310) and to execute a contract of sale. O n motion of M r s . Busey, this sale w a s authorized. O n motion of D r . Noble, the B o a r d adjourned to m e e t at 10 a. m . (Chicago time) o n Friday, August 19, 1927, at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago.
