OLDFATHER (17) On recommendation of Dean Babcock, I recommend that P o e s r W. A. rfso Oldfather be given sabbatical leave of absence on half pay for the academic year 1927-28, under the University rule as amended. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this leave w a s granted. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR H. J. SNIDER (18) On recommendation of Dean Mumford, I recommend that Assistant Professor H. J. Snider, of the Department of Agronomy, be given leave of absence on onehalf salaryforone year from September I, 1927, under the University rule as amended. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this leave w a s granted. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR H. H. BA1LY (19) On recommendation of Dean Thompson, I recommend that A s s a t Prositn fessor H. H. Baily of the Department of Business Organization and Operation be given leave of absence on one-half salary for one year from September 1, 1927, under the rule of the University as amended. O n motion of M r . Blair, this leave w a s granted.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR C. L. METCALF

(20) The Provost reports that Professor C. L. Metcalf of the Department of Entomology was given leave of absence on account of illness from January 5 to February 15, and February 22 to March 5, on full pay. This report w a s received for record. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR MISS KATHRYN VAN AKEN (21) The Provost authorized three weeks leave on full pay for Miss Kathryn Van Aken, State Leader of Home Economics Extension, on account of illness. This report w a s received for record.

EXTENSION OF LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR MR. GEORGE E. WRIGHT

(22) On recommendation of the Supervising Architect, I recommend that the leave of absence given to Mr. George E. Wright, Assistant Supervising Architect (page 176, November 20, 1926), from December 1, 1926, to March 1, 1927, on account of his health, be extended from March 1 to September I, 1927, but on half pay during the period of extension. Mr. Wright is s i l incapable of working. tl O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this extension w a s granted.

REDUCTION OF BONDS COVERING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROPERTY

(23) The Comptroller reports that bonds totalling $141,000 executed by him for the Board of Trustees, with its authority, andfiledwith the Adjutant General of the United States, have been cancelled and returned, due to the reduction of the inventory of government property on hand at the University. This report w a s received for record.
