White, Supervising Architect, submitted the accompanying recommendation which was approved by the Executive Committee and awards were made in accordance therewith. August 24, 1926 Executive Committee, Board of Trustees I recommend that the following contracts be awarded for work on the Building for Architecture and Kindred Subjects. In each case the firm mentioned presented the low bid on the branch of work covered. A complete schedule of all bids received is submitted herewith. For the General Contract on the Building for Architecture and Kindred Subjects Peterson Colwell, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota $317,800 For Plumbing Contract Walsh and Slattery Company, Peoria, Illinois u,927 O n the Heating Johnson Brothers, Champaign, Illinois 22,471 O n the Ventilating Henry Reuter, Kankakee, Illinois 5,110 The low bidder on the Electrical Work is the Kehl Electric Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin, but w e are not ready to make a recommendation with reference to making the award to them. The low bidder on the Roofing of the Architectural Building was Henry Reuter, but w e desire to take this bid under further advisement before making any recommendation. O n the basis of these bids and our estimates on the other items essential to to the completion of the building including mechanical equipment, furniture, heat, light, and power connections, architectural fees, superintendence, etc. the total cost of the building will be about $465,000. The state appropriation for this building is $500,000. 1 recommend that Henry Reuter be awarded the contract for the Ventilation in the Armory, he being the low bidder at $2,200.

Busey ROOF ON ARCHITECTURE BUILDING O n motion of Dr. Noble, it was voted that it is the sense of the Board that it is inadvisable to change the kind of roof on the new building for Architecture and Kindred Subjects from that already in use on the new buildings of the South Campus.
