AUTOMOBILE F O R AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION (36) Professor White recommends that 1. The University purchase a seven-passenger Nash sedan to take the place of the Nash touring car for use in Agricultural Extension, the new car to be used for extension and general University purposes. 2. Instead of turning in the old car, for which an allowance of $350 would be made, it be transferred to the Physical Plant operating department, I recommend that $14.00 be appropriated from agricultural funds and $950 from the Reserve and Contingent fund for this purchase, and that the old car be turned over to the Physical Plant department. Small. BUDGETARY NEEDS OF THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE

(37) A request that Dean Mumford be given a hearing on the budgetary needs of the College of Agriculture. D e a n M u m f o r d addressed the Board concerning this matter. MRS. BUSEY T O REPRESENT B O A R D AT FUNERAL Mrs. Busey was designated to act as the representative of the Board at the funeral of Captain J. R. Trevett on Monday afternoon. PRESIDENT KINLEY'S PORTRAIT Mrs. Evans, for the special committee to secure an artist to paint a portrait of President Kinley, reported a recommendation that Mr. Paul Trebilcock be commissioned to paint a portrait of President Kinley. This recommendation was adopted. The Board adjourned to meet at 3:30 p. m. on Monday, June 14, at the Urbana Country Club. ADJOURNED SESSION, JUNE 14, 1926 W h e n the Board convened at the Urbana Country Club on Monday afternoon, June 14, 1926, the same members were present as during the session of June 12, President Kinley was present; also Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller. A M E N D M E N T O F RULES O N RETIRING A L L O W A N C E S Mr. Armstrong, for the Finance Committee, recommended that the rules on retiring allowances and death benefits be amended to be effective at once, as recommended by the President of the University (see page 634) with the exception that the amendment to Paragraph 3 shall read "at least the last seven years of which shall have been continuous." The amended paragraphs read -as follows: 3. As to all members of the faculty, and educational, administrative, and mechanical staff who have been in the service of the University of Illinois for fifteen or more years, at least the last seven years of which shall have been continuous, and
