BOARD OF TRUSTEES

COMMITTEE O N STANDING COMMITTEES The special committee on standing committees of the Board, Mr. Armstrong, Mrs. Ickes, and Mr. Barr, reported a recommendation that no change be made in the l s of standing committees at this it time. O n motion of Mr. Armstrong, this recommendation was adopted and the committee was discharged. GREGORY MEMORIAL Mrs. Ickes, for the special committee on a memorial to Regent J. M. Gregory, made a report of progress and asked for further instructions from the Board. This matter was discussed and the committee was requested to confer with the interested alumni and report later. OPTION ON PERCIVAL. FARM Mrs. Busey, for the Committee on Agriculture, reported a recommendation that the University do not avail i s l of the option to purtef chase the Percival farm at the present time. O n motion of Dr. Noble, this recommendation was adopted. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Board considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. DEATH OF CAPTAIN JOHN R. TREVETT (I) Announcement of the death this day of Captain John R. Trevett, a o the Board from 1913 to 1919. f O n motion of Mr. Barr, the President of the Board was directed to appoint a committee to draft resolutions of regret. President Trees appointed Mrs. Busey, Mr. W h a m , and Dr. Noble to act on this committee.

BAND OVERCOATS

(2) A letter frcm the Alumni Committee to secure overcoats for the band: June 9, 1926 President David Kinley, University 0/ Illinois Dear President Kinley: Having straightened up thefinaldetails of our work as members of the Band Overcoat committee, appointed by the Alumni Association to solicit funds to purchase overcoats for the band men, w e now take pleasure, on behalf 6l alumni and other friends of the University, in presenting to the University of Illinois 204 band overcoats. These were purchased with funds contributed by alumni and other citizens. The total amount received was $6,326.85. All of this money except $9.26 was spent for band overcoats and for expenses connected with soliciting the money. The $9.26 remaining has been turned over to the band fund. Sincerely yours, C. A.
