LEAVE O F ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR D O D G E (7) Deans Babcock and Daniels recommend that Professor D. K. Dodge be granted another year of sick leave on one-half pay. It i their judgment that the case is so s distinctly unusual that such special treatment of i after thirty-four years of service t would not involve us in embarrassing complications in the future. I concur in their recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Ickes, this leave was granted. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DR. C. R. GRIFFITH (8) Dean Babcock recommends that Assistant Professor C. R. Griffith be given leave of absence without pay for one year from September 1, 1926, to enable him to accept a Fellowship from the Guggenheim Foundation for study and travel abroad. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . W h a m , this leave w a s granted.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DR. P. T. YOUNG

(9) Dean Babcock and Professor Bentley recommend that Assistant Professor Paul Thomas Young of the Department of Psychology be given leave of absence without pay for one year from September I, 1926, to enable him to study abroad under a National Research Fellowship in Biological Sciences to which he has been appointed. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Busey, this leave w a s granted.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR OSLUND

(10) Dean Davis recommends that Assistant Professor Robert M . Oslund of the Department of Physiology of the College of Medicine be granted leave of absence from June 15 to September 15 to enable him to attend the Twelfth International Physiological Congress at Stockholm, Sweden. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this leave w a s granted. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DR. WILLIAMSON (11) Dr. Charles Spencer Williamson of the College of Medicine requests leave of absence from July 10 to September 20 in order to visit clinics abroad. Dean Davis recommends that his request be granted and I concur. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this leave was granted.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DR. E. V. L. BROWN

(12) Dean Davis recommends that Dr. E. V. L. Brown be granted a leave of absence from M a y I to August 25 for the purpose of study and travel abroad. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this leave w a s granted. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR MISS MIRIAM ROE (13) Director Windsor recommends that Miss Miriam Roe, Cataloger in the Library, be granted leave of absence of one month, without pay, in addition to her regular vacation to allow her to make a trip to Europe. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . W h a m , this leave w a s granted. ADDITIONAL GIFT FROM MELLON INSTITUTE (14) Under the authority given me by the Board I have accepted an additional gift of $1500 from the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research of Pittsburgh to continue the research work in the College of Medicine which was begun under the original grant of $3000 which was reportedtothe Board on January 11 (page 504). This report w a s received for record.
