However, the plan was abandoned and the Illinois Board prepared its own questions for the May examination. Amendment of CJ'-d. Law By Legislative Act effective October 1, 1925, the University's connection with the examining and certifying of public accountants in this state ceased. Financial Statement The balance on hand at the beginning of the presentfiscalyear was $11,214.93. The receipts for the year were $10,148.75. The total disbursements were £4,389.95. These include a charge of $44 for a typewriter appearing on the Business Office books, which should have been entered against another fund. This error has been corrected. The balance in the fund at the close of the fiscal year as appearing on the Business Office books was $16,973.73.
