REPORT ON LOT 55, COLLEGE PLACE

(11) The Comptroller reports under date of October 27 that he has concluded the purchase of Lot 55 in College Place from Mrs. Maude Foster at a price of $2,350 subject to general property taxes for 1925 (estimate $10) and to unpaid special assessments not yet due (estimate $37)—in accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees on September 15 and as modified on October 23. This report w a s received for record.

THEFT OF MICROSCOPES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY

(12) The Comptroller reports that six microscopes which were in use at the N e w Hospital in the Department of Ophthalmology were stolen some time between Saturday noon, October 17, when the microscopes were locked up, and Tuesday morning, October 20, when the storeroom was opened to get them out. It seems that every reasonable precaution was taken to protect these instruments against theft and every effort has been made since their loss to recover them. At this time no trace of them has been found. This report w a s received for record.
