The additional electrical power shall be supplied from a nearby distribution center. The project includes new switchgear in the distribution center, underground electrical duct, a new underground transformer vault at the northwest corner of Roger Adams Laboratory, and a new transformer in the vault. Funds for the project are available from Institutional Funds Operating Budget of the campus. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. Competitive bidding in accordance with the Illinois Purchasing Act was followed; and on May 9 and 15, 1996, bids were received.
