2. Reinforce the commitment of the college's faculty and hospital management to the plan and its strategies by involving them in the definition of the implementation program. T h e Tiber Group will provide technical support and advice on selected topics as needed throughout this process. T h e firm has superior knowledge of the Chicago health care market and has previously assisted initial phases of our planning process. T h e work will begin on January 16, 1992, and conclude on June 30, 1992, at a total cost not to exceed $395,000. Funds are available in the operating budgets of the hospital and the College of Medicine. T h e vice president for academic affairs recommends approval. I concur.

On motion of Mrs. Shepherd, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Dr. Bacon, Mr. Boyle, Mrs. Calder, Mr. Downey, Mr. Grabowski, Mrs. Gravenhorst, Mr. Lamont, Ms. Reese, Mrs. Shepherd; no, none; absent, Governor Edgar. Contracts, Student Residence and Commons Addition, Chicago

(15) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of the following contracts for the construction of a 73,000 square foot, 362-bed student housing addition to the existing Student Residence and Commons Building located near the corner of Harrison and Halsted Streets at the Chicago campus.
