authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge, and deliver in the name of, and on behalf of, this corporation, and under its corporate seal, a deed and such other documents in connection therewith as said Comptroller and Secretary may deem necessary or desirable in order to convey to John Telford title to the following described real property, viz.: T h e East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 29 North, Range 6 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Livingston County, Illinois. O n motion of Ms. Reese, this r e c o m m e n d a t i o n was approved and t h e foregoing resolution was a d o p t e d by the following vote: Aye, Dr. Bacon, Mr. Boyle, Mrs. Calder, Mr. Grabowski, Mrs. Gravenhorst, Mr. H a h n , Ms. Reese, Mrs. S h e p h e r d , Mr. Wolff; no, none; absent, G o v e r n o r Thompson. Purchases (24) T h e president submitted, with his concurrence, a list of purchases recommended by the directors of purchases and the vice president for business and finance. T h e purchases were presented in two categories: purchases from appropriated funds (i.e., from State appropriations to the University); and purchases from institutional funds. T h e latter term designates funds received by the University under contracts with the United States government, private corporations, and other organizations; grants from foundations, corporations, and other donors; and University revolving funds authorized by law. A complete list of the purchases, with supporting information (including the quotations received), was sent to each member of the board in advance of the meeting. A copy is being filed with the secretary of the board for record. T h e report included contractual agreements for payments to the University and contracts in amounts up to $50,000, to be paid by the University. A copy of this report is filed with the secretary. T h i s r e p o r t was received for record.
