M r s . Blake withdrew during the discussion of this matter. On motion of Mr. Abbott, seconded by Mr. Ward, the assignment of funds recommended by the President of the University was approved. W I D O W ' S ALLOWANCE FOR MRS. C Y R I L G. HOPKINS

At this point, Mr. Trimble presented for the Finance Committee a recommendation that a widow's allowance of $1370 a year be granted to Mrs. Cyril G. Hopkins. This allowance, which is effective September 1, 1920, is computed according to the formula of the Carnegie Foundation. On motion of Mr. Trimble, this allowance was granted, by the following vote: Aye: Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Trimble, Mr. Ward; no, none, absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blake, Mr. Lowden.
