BOARD OF TRUSTEES PURCHASE O F S T O O L M A N P R O P E R T Y

[May 10,

I t was reported that the Stadium Committee had ordered the purchase of the Stoolman tract of approximately 20 acres just south of College Place, in Champaign, at a price of $81,000. On motion of Mrs. Evans, it was voted: 1. That the action of the Stadium Committee in purchasing with Stadium funds the Stoolman tract, legally described as being Lots seven (7) and eight (8) and the North 5.56 acres of Lot nine (9) and the North four (4) acres of Lot ten (10), all in William Williamson's subdivision, West half of Southwest quarter, city of Champaign, for the Memorial Stadium and Recreation Field, for the sum of $81,000, be and it is hereby approved. 2. That the President of the Board and the President of the University be and they are hereby instructed to make all necessary arrangements for payments and the transfer of the title. 3. That the sum of $81,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary to meet such cash payment as may be necessary, be and it is hereby appropriated from the Stadium fund for this purchase* The appropriation was made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble.

BILL. O F A R C H I T E C T FOR CAMPUS P L A N

On recommendation of the President of the University, and on motion of Mrs. Blake, it was voted to approve and order payment of a bill from Mr. C. A. Piatt for services on the Campus Plan from March 15 to May 1, amounting to $3179.55. The appropriation from the Reserve and Contingent fund was made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr, Herbert, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble.

ADJOURNMENT TO MAY 2 6 , 1 3 2 2

On motion of Mrs. Busey, it was voted that the meeting should adjourn, when it did adjourn, to meet at the University, in Urbana, at 10 o'clock a. m. on Friday, May 26, 192a.

The Secretary presented for record the report of the auditors for the half year ending March 31, 1922.

We have audited the Cash Receipts and Disbursements of the University of Illinois for the half-year ending March 31, 1922, thus completing the first three quarters of the year 1921-22, and certify that the Receipts and Disbursements, as embodied in the Report of the Comptroller for that period, are in accordance with the books and in our opinion are correct.
