EXTRA F E E IN T H E S U M M E R SESSION (11) A recommendation that the incidental fee in the Summer Session be $20 instead of $12 as hitherto, but that the free scholarship of $12 now granted to teachers be continued so that the charge to scholarship holders will be $8.00.

On motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was concurred in.

B U I L D I N G PROGRAM (12) A statement concerning the urgent necessity of proceeding with the building program as rapidly as possible, particularly with the new Agriculture building, and with the Medical building in Chicago. Letters on the subject were read from Deans Davenport, Richards, and Babcock. Dean Eycleshymer also urged on the President the need for early action.

On motion of Mr. Abbott, the Executive Committee was directed to employ the firm of Schmidt & Garden as architects for the Medical building. At this point, Mr. Trimble took his place with the Board. Mr. Abbott made a report and a recommendation for the Committee on Architects for the Agriculture building that Mr. Charles Piatt be employed as architect for this building and to study the campus plan. It was moved by Mr. Abbott that the Executive Committee be directed to employ Mr. Charles Piatt to act as architect for the Agriculture building and to study the general campus plan. Mrs. Busey moved to amend by striking out all reference to the campus plan. The amendment was lost. After further discussion, the original motion was passed as presented. Mrs. Busey asked to be recorded as voting in the negative. At this point, at 12:45 p. m., a recess was taken. AFTERNOON SESSION, DECEMBER 13, 1921 When the Board convened after the recess, the same persons were present as before. The Board continued its consideration of recommendations presented by the President of the University.

PLANS FOR T H E AGRICULTURE B U I L D I N G (13) A recommendation that the Supervising Architect be directed to proceed immediately with the plans and specifications of the Agriculture building in consultation with the architect of the building.

On motion of Mr. Trimble, this recommendation was adopted.

POLICY C O N C E R N I N G P A T E N T S O N DISCOVERIES A N D I N V E N TIONS (14) A recommendation that the rules concerning the procedure in taking out patents on discoveries and inventions made by members of the staff of the Engineering Experiment Station (adopted February 16, 1918, pages 661-664) be amended to include all departments of the University.

On motion of Mr. Trimble, the regulations concerning patents adopted on February 16, 1918, were rescinded. On motion of Mr. Trimble, the following regulations were adopted.
