That the teachers employed to teach this subject shall have had at least one year each of biological and physical science in a standard college or university, or shall show a fairly equivalent preparation for teaching such a course.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was approved.

C O N T R A C T S FOR L O A N S OF M A C H I N E R Y (11)^ A recommendation that the following form of lease be approved for use by the Division ©f Farm Mechanics in the Department of Agronomy in borrowing fatfmmachinery from manufacturers for use in instruction. This has been pronounced satisfactory by the Legal Counsel. AGREEMENT For: Loaning Machinery, Etc. for the Use of the Division of Farm Mechanics, University of Illinois THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this .day of , 19 , by and between of •.••*.* hereafter referred to as the Company, and the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, hereafter referred to as the University: In consideration of the sum of one dollar, the Company agrees to loan to, the University,, for uses stipulated below, farm machinery and other goods, from to subject to the following conditions: The type, size, and quantity of goods to be loaned will be determined by mutual agreement between a representative of the Company and a member of the staff of the Division of Farm Mechanics, University of Illinois. The goods will be housed in the Farm Mechanics Building of the University of Illinois, subject to the oirder of the Company, whose representatives may have access to the same during University office hours. The University agrees to pay the transportation charges from and to the nearest branch office or warehouse of the Company, except in case of the removal of the goods at the initiative of the Company within the time specified above, in which case the Company will pay the transportation charges incurred by moving the goods, except when special arrangements are made to which both parties mutually agree. The University agrees to keep the goods housed and to pay for all repairs and shortage occasioned by the goods being in its possession; but the University does not assume any responsibility in case of fire. The goods loaned are to be used for classwork and field demonstrations in connection with the Farm Mechanics courses, and,, unless special permission is given by the Company, are not to be used in extensive work upon the University farm or elsewhere for other than instructional purposes. It is agreed that if goods are no longer desired by the University for instructional work, they may be returned,after a representative of the University has corresponded wkh the Company in order to secure shipping directions.
