BALANCES A N D OVERDRAFTS, COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE

The following statement: The College of Agriculture reports the following balances and overdrafts in the funds of the several departments for the fiscal year ended June 30,1920: Administration $ 941.62* Agricultural College Extension 1,820.65 Agronomy 16,489.42 Animal Husbandry 6,078.19* Dairy 11,401.86 Horticulture . 3,588.16* Home Economics 5,983.91 Cafeteria. 4,712.30 Farm Organization and Management 2,236.42 Total, general funds Buildings: Cold Storage Poultry Plant $ 32,036.59 $ 9,000.00 1,507.91 (16)

Total, all funds $ 42,544.50 , In accordance with the practise of previous years, I recommend that the balances shown above be re-appropriated to the departments and that the overdrafts be subtracted from the appropriations made for the current fiscal year.

On motion of Mrs. Busey, this recommendation was approved.

BUDGET, COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE (17) The budget of the College of Agriculture and the Agricultural Experiment Station for the year beginning July 1, 1920. The Budget was approved as given below. Explanation was given of changes in salary and rank proposed for Dr. L. H. Smith, Dr. E. E. DeTurk, Dr. R. S. Smith, Mr. R. I. Shawl, Mr. C. C. Chapman, Mr. F. W. Gault, Mr. L. A. Hunter, Professor H. A. Harding, Professor M. J. Prucha, Mr. A. S. Ambrose, and Mr. M. H. Campbell. Special attention was called to the recommendation that Dr. L. H. Smith be put in charge of the publication of soil survey reports and other publications growing out of the work of Dr. Cyril G. Hopkins in Soils.]
