6. It Is, of course, highly desirable that the winner of the Sharpies Scholarship elect special dairy subjects during her senior year, such courses as would enable her to be familiar with the production and manufacture of dairy products and their place as prime foods in the American diet. It is also desirable that the winner of this scholarship should have training in public speaking and that the applicant should agree to take, during her senior year, such of these courses as she has not previously covered. She should submit her senior schedule to the scholarship committee for their approval. 7. The Sharpies Scholarship may be revoked at any time, in case two-thirds of the scholarship committee present at any meeting, notice having been given at the regular meeting immediately before, shall decide that the holder has been guilty of negligence or failure to comply with the conditions of the scholarship or of conduct of any kind that is unbecoming a student holding such scholarship. Whenever this scholarship shall, for any reason, become vacant, the vacancy may be filled as the faculty scholarship committee shall determine. 8. A full report covering the award of the scholarship at the time such an award is made is to be made by the scholarship committee to Mr. P. M. Sharpies, of the Sharpies Separator Company. This report should cover in detail the provisions for the scholarship as made by the scholarship committee.

This scholarship was accepted, subject to the conditions given above, and with the understanding that the full amount will be paid in advance, at the beginning of each year, to the Comptroller of the University.

REPRINTING "FACTS FOR FRESHMEN" (20) A request for authority to reprint Dean Clark's handbook entitled "Facts for Freshmen".

This authority was granted.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLICITY (21) A request for authority to appoint Mr. J. F. Wright Director of Publicity for one year, beginning September 1, 1920, at a salary of $2500, to be paid from the budget item of $5000 for publicity, and to assign for the expense of the work the balance of this budget item.

This authority was granted.

PETITION FROM AMERICAN LEGJON (22) A petition from the American Legion, Post No. 24, that the north end < f Hilinois Field be deeded to Champaign County Board of Super© visors to be used as the site for a County Community Memorial Building. Judge Harker is of the opinion that the Board has no authority to donate this land or to sell it for a nominal price.

The Acting President was requested to inform the petitioners of the opinion of the Legal Counsel.
