EXPENSES OF TRAVELING FELLOW (34) A request from Mr. W. R. Allen, appointed traveling fellow in Chile and Peril, that he be allowed the sum of $489 in addition to the sum of $1,400 already given him; this amount to compensate him for additional expenditures and time lost. This matter was referred to Acting President Kinley for adjustment.

AUTOMOBILE FOR OPERATING DEPARTMENT

(35) A recommendation from the Acting President that settlement be made with the Supervising Architect for the destruction of his car by fire in the University Shop and arrangements made for furnishing that office with a car for the use of the operating department. On motion of Mr. Abbott, the Acting President of the University was authorized to settle this matter. ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (36) A recommendation of the Council of Administration that the action of the Senate recommending that 65 semester hours be required for admission to the College of Education be changed to make the requirements for the year 1919-1920 60 semester hours, exclusive of credits in military, from a recognized college.

T h i s recommendation was approved. COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP FOR MISS ELINOR B. FLAGG

(37) A recommendation that a county scholarship be assigned to Miss Elinor B. Flagg for two years. Miss Flagg passed the examination for a scholarship in 1917, but she did not enter the University at that time. The scholarship was not assigned to anyone else and is therefore vacant. This recommendation was approved.

ROOMS IN WOMAN'S RESIDENCE HALL

(38) A report from Dean Mason that 400 applications for rooms in the Woman's Residence Hall have been received and that 90 have been assigned. This report was received for record.

C, Lecturer in Hygiene in the department of Hygiene and Medical Jurisprudence in the College of Medicine, from June 4, 1919, to October 4, 1919, at a compensation of one hundred sixty dollars ($160) for the course.
