material that there will be little danger of their being required by the government. In previous years, a contract has also been placed, whereby a local firm agreed to stock for us a certain kind of shoe and sell to our students at a stated price. On account of the greatly increased market for military supplies in this community numerous satisfactory shoes are regularly on sale and there seems to be no reason for placing a contract for this item for the next year. These recommendations are submitted for the approval of the, Board of Trustees and I trust they may receive early and favorable action. Cordially yours,

The Government granted a rebate of $14 to the students who purchased uniforms for the present year. A similar rebate will probably be made next year, in which case the uniforms with accessories will cost the students a little over $20.
