This report was discussed at length. On motion of Mr. Trimble, this report was accepted and adopted.

BILL FOR SERVICES OF MR. ALEXANDER PRUSSING

Mr. Abbott, as chairman of the Executive Committee, presented a bill from Mr. Alexander Prussing, in the amount of $500, for services rendered in connection with the purchase of land in Chicago. On motion of Mr. Ward, the Comptroller was ordered to pay this bill. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Taggart, Mr. Trimble, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Lowden, Mr. Trevett. APPOINTMENTS MADE BY PRESIDENT JAMES The Secretary presented for record the following list of appointments made by the President of the University: ^Barnes, O. A., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half time, from November 11, 1917, to June 30, 1918, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month; this appointment superseding his previous appointment. (November 26, K)i7t). *Bergin, C. E., Assistant in Dermatology in the College of Medicine, for the academic year ending August 31, 1918, without salary. (December 5, 1917). *Brigham, M. H., Instructor in Gunnery in the U. S. School of Military Aeronautics, at a salary of one hundred dollars ($100) a month, beginning November 26, 1917, and continuing until further notice. (November 26, 1917). *Brooks, Ruth, Stenographer and Clerk in the Business Office, at a salary of fifty-five dollars ($55) a month, beginning December 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (November 30, 1917). *Brown, H. A., Instructor in the U. S. School of Military Aeronautics, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month, beginning December 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice; this appointment superseding his previous appointment. (December 6, 1917). *Brunson, A. M., Instructor in the U. S. School of Military Aeronautics, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month, beginning December 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice; this appointment superseding his previous appointment. (December 6, 1917). *Castle, D. W., Instructor in the U. S. School of Military Aeronautics, at a salary of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month, beginning December 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice; this appointment superseding his previous appointment.
